I was out with our Sophomore yesterday afternoon doing some driving practice.
There's a "HISTORICAL MARKER" sign 5 miles or so outside of Oreana that I've always wanted to check out.
So she drove me to it.........
The Lorton brothers from Michigan.
Built their trading post near the Sangamon River.
The Sam Waltons of their day/age. ;)
