Today at the Kettle

I rang for a couple hours this morning at the red kettle over at Hobby Lobby in Forsyth.

Some observations.......

- seeing some really great people (RW, D&A) made me smile

- it snowed on me, then stayed cloudy for awhile;  but when the sun came out for 20 minutes, it felt SOOOO good

- rescued a lost glove from the parking lot

- a beautiful collie-type dog gave me a real stare-down as its owner's car drove by

- speaking of a drive-by, it was nice to see wifey and our Junior as they did one

- kids with change are awesome

- met Tony, who serves with the Salvation Army up the Lincoln way

- also met another gentleman who use to live in Oreana and had done some bellringing in his past

- watched a determined white bird (maybe a gull?  or just a parking lot pigeon?) fight a losing battle against the strong northerly wind

All that in 2 hours.
Never a dull moment out there folks.

Grace & Peace & Love to you all -

Matt
