Our little Village of Oreana may be getting a solar farm!
When he heard that the proposed solar farm could generate enough energy to power 430 homes annually, Jay Edgecombe joked that it may be enough to provide for his neighbors.
“Maybe this could take care of Argenta and Oreana,” said Edgecombe, who along with his wife, Vicki, owns the property where the 20-acre solar farm will be placed. “I was going to send (Vicki) to count the houses just to be sure.”

Of the classes/varieties of renewable energy, I get most excited about solar. So this news really made my day. Hopefully the county board will get the resolution/ordinance passed so this project can move along.
