Why step away now? There are a half dozen good reasons. My wife retires in May from a lifetime as a teacher. I’m in awe of what she’s done and how well she has done it.
We dream of finally getting to travel and do some of that traveling in the fall. That’s never been a possibility due to my obligation to another football season.
That granddaughter has proven to be a major force in our lives. We want to be available for babysitting and spoiling and the thought of missing out on one ounce of that is unbearable.
