The lovely Mrs. Honnold and I dropped by a few places this afternoon/evening including beautiful Nelson Park on Lake Decatur.
Wanted to show her this:
Decatur's 9-11 Memorial.
A beautiful tribute to those who perished on the worst day of U.S. history since Pearl Harbor.
Incorporated into the left tower of this Memorial is an actual iron beam from one of the Twin Towers.
So appreciative of all those who organized the fundraising for this project.
