60 Foot Lincoln

Came across an awesome postcard out on the web:

Big ol' Abe Lincoln.  64 feet tall.

The postcard pictures him in his original home on the outskirts of Charleston Illinois.

Growing-up, I only remember him at his new/current home -- 5 miles outside Charleston on the east side of (Embarras) River Hill.

He's still there -- and is quite the sight.

But time's not been kind -- he's fading fast. 

Dad remembers when he was first delivered to Charleston -- on a flatbed:
