Beyond those barricades........ Brush College is gone!
Closed for 3 months'ish as they continue work on the early phase of the Eastern Beltway around Decatur.
While I have no doubt this new road will have benefits, I see 4 big negatives attached to it:
- neither the state government nor the federal government has any money to be funding road projects like this
- the project creates yet more roadway when we cannot keep our current roads and bridges properly maintained
- some prime Macon County farmground is gonna get paved over in the name of economy / commerce / progress
- logistics around Progress City USA (home of the Farm Progress Show) are gonna be impacted -- possibly in a big, big way
