Picture 5/18: Litter Critter
May 18
(year 6, picture 138)
I was at Nelson Park this morning -- together with the rest of the Beautify Decatur Coalition gang -- for the filling and erection of our first "Litter Critter" sculpture:
Handcrafted by Jim Swaim of South Carolina and delivered to Illinois by Jim himself. And what better animal to choose than the Illinois state animal, the white-tailed deer.
I'll betcha we loaded more than 600 cans, jugs, bottles, etc. into the deer. Plus a few unique things, like a hose and a couple hubcaps.
Yet another very cool piece of art of which Decatur can be very proud.
Grace & Peace & Love to you all -
Matt
