This hit the garbage today:
The volume control no longer works.
The antennae broke off several years back.
And the cassette player hasn't worked in eons (not that I actually had any cassettes to play in it).
Not sure when or where I got this thing, but I do remember recording songs to cassette from Casey Kasem's American Top 40 radio show. That would have been back in junior high and maybe early high school years.
That would mean I've had it for 30'ish years. Moved 4 times, it somehow withstood the test of time.
With iPhones, MP3s, and streaming music available to me, I sure won't be buying a replacement.
