Tobacco 21

Way back in 2014, CVS eliminated tobacco from their stores.

And we all wondered how long it would take for "the others" to react.

Well....... here we are in 2019, and there is action!

Last month:

DEERFIELD, Ill., April 23, 2019 - Walgreens is implementing a new, chain-wide policy that will require customers to be at least 21 years old in order to purchase tobacco products in its stores, the company announced today. The policy will be effective Sept. 1, 2019, and is the most recent step in an ongoing effort to further prevent youth access to tobacco products.

And just in the last few days:

As of July 1, 2019, across our entire U.S. business – Walmart and Sam’s Club – we are raising the minimum age to purchase tobacco products, including all e-cigarettes, to 21.

So neither one has gone as far as Wallyworld, but at least they've both made a step in the right direction.

Grace & Peace & Love to you all -

Matt
