If you are a fan of the individually-wrapped soaps and baby shampoo bottles in your hotel room, there is a growing movement to make those extinct.
IHG (Holiday Inn), Marriott, Hyatt and Hilton have already announced their plans.
And now Accor:
Some of the hotels are replacing the mini-bottles with soap/shampoo/conditioner dispensers hung in the shower. My concern there...... someone contaminates those with "who knows what" and the next occupant of that room has to deal with it. Gross.
Easier solution: eliminate the bottles from the rooms but have them available at the front desk for request or even a $1 (at most) charge.
Or, have the sudsy-stuff in little packets -- similar to ketchup at McDonalds -- and offer those free at the front desk or some type of cool vending machine where you swipe your keycard.
