And now, we have the next layer of coronavirus prevention/protection from Wal-Mart:
The days of bumping into one another’s giant shopping carts at the grocery store may be over for now.
At least when buying groceries at Walmart.
Walmart executive vice president of corporate affairs Dan Bartlett confirmed in a call with reporters on Tuesday morning that one direction only aisles were being added to stores in an effort to support coronavirus-related social distancing efforts. It’s unclear how many Walmart stores will have the aisles.
While I understand why they think this will help with social distancing, I see 2 problems:
1) there will be those who will not follow directions
2) there will be those who park themselves directly in the middle of the aisle and move really, really slowly...... "Store Associates, we have a code 16-2 traffic jam in aisle 22"
Wonder if they'll have a couple Wal-Mart staff on either roller skates or Segways rolling around the store playing traffic cop?
My how our world has changed.
