Renaming St. Louis

Heck, while we're on the topic of renaming stuff, here's another one.

A petition has been made with hopes of changing the city's name in St. Louis and taking down a statue of its namesake, Saint Louis IX in Forest Park. The creators say the city's name is "outright disrespect" to Jewish and Muslim residents and they're asking for support.

Renaming an entire city.  Yeah, makes complete sense.  <<snark>>

We cannot change the past.  Period.

And, contrary to what a very small group of people may think, updating a city name does not change the past.

Here's the story:

And another good one:

So, how did St. Louis get its name anyways?

If the (God forbid) proceeds, WHERE DOES IT END?

Columbus Ohio is facing the same type of issue:

Unbelievable stupidity.
