This past Sunday, our Decatur Salvation Army had its' annual piano concert -- and what a show it was!
Julie McClarey and a slew of friends played for nearly 2 hours.
Christmas music.
Ol' time hymn singalong.
Elvis.
Salvation Army youth band.
Military tribute.
Piano duet.
Irish tunes.
And so much more!
The news is out...... look at the amazing result:
$70,000!!!! Over 10% of our Christmas season goal ($600,000)!!!!
Decatur proves once again how big of a caring heart this community has.
(Remember that it was just a few weeks ago that the 20th annual WSOY Community Food Drive raised over $1.5 MILLION!!)
We must never overlook those in society who are seeking help. And seeking hope.
