Let's see...... the last couple of years, we've had "plagues" of cicadas and murder hornets. Some other bug too..... stinkbug, maybe?

Move over lantern flies and lady beetles: another invasive species from Asia has arrived in the United States. It’s the Joro spider (Trichonephila clavata), which made its first U.S. appearance in Georgia in 2013. Millions are slowly spreading up the East Coast, potentially popping up in any area from the spring to the fall because of their hitchhiking abilities.
Joro spiders weave thick, golden webs, and can even use their silk as a sort of parachute that allows them to float through the air to new locations.
