82 Counties Down

Not surprising news at all.

But disappointing news for anyone with a heart for Illinois.

Illinois’ population decline reached record levels in 2021 as the state’s population dropped by 113,776 residents from July 2020-July 2021.

Population decline was widespread during the year, affecting nearly all areas of the state as 81 of Illinois’ 102 counties saw population losses, according to U.S. Census Bureau estimates released March 24.

81 of 102!  YEESH

And take a looksy at this...... the 21 counties that did go up in population were teeny-tiny increases:

Decades of government mismanagement and corruption has led to this.

And as we all know....... fewer residents equals fewer taxpayers equals fewer tax dollars equals bigger budget deficits equals more desperate politicians.

Taxes can be raised.

Services can be cut.

Both are extremely harmful and will only accelerate the population exodus.

It's a vicious circle..... right down the toilet bowl.

How sad.

Grace & Peace & Love to you all -
