just got home from date night a little while ago.
actually, not just date night..... date night part 3.
the girls have Vacation Bible School this week. VBS gives our youngest 2 a great opportunity to have fun, learn about the Bible, and see their friends. and it gives our oldest a great opportunity to serve, as she's a helper this year in one of the younger kid classes. it makes me so proud and happy to see her excited about doing this.
and VBS gives Corr and I a great opportunity too. to get out and "court" (what a hilarious term).... which we don't get to do near enough.
monday evening we headed into Decatur to an outdoor concert with the Decatur Park Singers. it was a beautiful night to be out listening to great music with my sweetie.
last night, we took off for Clinton, which is one of our favorite towns in the area. had supper at The Shack (an awesome little hometown diner), then did some shopping at CVS and Wallyworld. finished the night off at McD's for ice cream before our nice summer evening drive back down to Macon County.
tonight, we really went crazy and went shopping at Hobby Lobby and Big Lots. weren't really looking for anything.... it's just fun to look around. this is always a great time of the year because there's merchandise for 4 or 5 holidays on display.
we saw some spring/Easter stuff on clearance, as well as just a couple 4th of july items.
then, we saw halloween:

with the VBS closing program on Friday night, tomorrow evening will be our 4th and final (for this week) date night.
we're not sure yet what we'll do yet. maybe just a quiet walk around town. maybe Dairy Queen. who knows ?
but, I'm already looking forward to it!
