dèjá vu at the park

right now, the lovely mrs. honnold and i are in argenta's park.

proof?

see?

of course, you'll have to take my word for it that i am here with her.  trust me, i took the picture.

we are waiting for the girls' vacation Bible school program to start.  had to drop the girls off early, then all the parents show up about an hour later.

rather than go back home, we decided to wait out the hour in the park.  relaxing and reading.

that's where dèjá vu comes into play.

last summer, on the friday night concluding VBS week, we did this very same thing.  in this very same park.

the bench we sat on last year out under the trees by the highway is gone.  maybe moved?  maybe stolen?  maybe captured by angry squirrels?  who knows.

so this year, we are in the gazebo.

she is reading a mystery (as usual).

i am reading (as soon as i get done with this post) Christ the Lord by Anne Rice.

i remember last summer when we did this, i was reading "The Iowa Baseball Confederacy", which was a good read although a bit too sci-fi for my liking.

fun times.  good memories.  dèjá vu.

out for now.....
