Box of Stuff
as I blogged earlier in the week, my wife and I made our annual pilgrimage to the Covered Bridge Festival this week.
I found some pretty good deals as I was rummaging thru the stuff of the antique dealers and flea marketers.
My coolest buy was this:
a $3 box of stuff.
a brief backstory.....
I spotted this box in the flea market and noticed that it contained several keychains. (for those of you who do not know, I am an avid collector of keychains.)
As I started to rummage thru the box pulling out keychains that I was interested in buying, the vendor said something to the effect of "you know, if you just want to give me three bucks, you can have everything". being well-aware that there was well more than $3 worth of keychains in the box, I jumped on the offer and did a small "happy jig" on my way out of her booth.
There were about 50 keychains:
Wahhoo !!! What a steal !!!
(what she doesn't know is that I would have paid her at least $8, if not $10, for this many great keychains. hopefully, she's not reading this blog!)
There were some interesting ones....
there is probably a 45 year old somewhere looking for these.
it's a mate to the keychain on the left which (along with the attached keys) belonged to Grandpa Chester Honnold and his Buick LeSabre.
Besides keychains, the box had some other interesting stuff (much of which will end up in the trash ).....
wonder who this guy is? the ruler idea apparently worked the first time to get him elected, so he went with the idea again to promote his campaign for reelection.
keys to something; they look too small to open a lost treasure chest full of boody. they probably open an old piece of luggage full of dirty laundry.
$3 bucks of fun. great investment towards my growing keychain collection.
and who could have guessed that I was gonna get a mooning man!!??!!??!!
Out for now.....
