Some time back, I wrote about Culvers' cool campaign called "Thank You Farmers".  You can read that here:

Around these parts (Decatur area), 2 things have recently been done by Culvers to promote/further the "Thank You Farmers" idea.

First, just outside of Argenta (at the interstate exit), they've taken an old barn and painted it blue, just like the one in the photo from my blog post above.  On that barn, the "Thank You Farmers" tagline/slogan is clearly displayed for all the I-72 travelers to see.

Then today after church, we stop at the Culvers in Decatur for lunch and spot this high above the store:

OUR FOOD ISN'T MADE -- IT'S GROWN
THANK YOU, FARMERS

How cool is that!!??!!

What an important message for them to be sharing.

Too many folks walk into a grocery store and just take for granted that fresh fruits and veggies are going to be there for purchase.

Too few take time to pause and think that without the toil of the American Farmer, that produce section is bare.

Except for bananas.

Out for now......
