I found myself walking around downtown Monticello Illinois today.
Was beating-in some time prior to a boys basketball holiday tournament game. (in which the Bombers of Argenta-Oreana handily defeated the Indians of Neoga)
Came across a series of murals, with this being one of the best:
If there was a "painted on" date on the mural, I missed it.
But, whether it's 10 years old or 30, very little care is being taken to preserve it (or the others) in any way.
Sad to see someone's historical artwork succumbing to the elements.
