You know that St. Louis was Walt Disney's first choice of locations for his 2nd amusement park (for the one that eventually ended up in Florida)?
No kidding!
I learned about it this week.
"In March of 1963, the Mayor of City of St. Louis sat down with Walt Disney to discuss plans for a new theme park for the redeveloping riverfront area of St. Louis to celebrate its bicentennial. Disney Imagineers began drawing and designing plans for the indoor park that would have been located two city blocks north from Busch Stadium."
