Black Tom Explodes
From a plaque in a Jersey City, New Jersey park:
"You are walking on a site which saw one of the worst acts of terrorism in American history."
Any idea what this is referencing?
I did not...... until today.

1916.
An act of sabotage by the Germans.
A massive, MASSIVE detonation.
And the reason why the Statue of Liberty torch was closed to the public.
What an interesting story.
