Cost of a Picnic
Interesting little survey:
Items showing modest retail price increases compared to a year ago included:
apples, up 12 percent to $1.64 per pound;
eggs, up 9 percent to $2.23 per dozen;
bacon, up 8 percent to $4.78 per pound;
chicken breast, up 3 percent to $3.37 per pound; and
deli ham, up 1 percent to $5.57 per pound.
