Had my headphones on as I was mowing the yard.
The batteries need replaced, so I had to choose a channel that would come in clearly on low power.
Unfortunately, I chose Decatur's 93.1 "The Party".
Yikes!
Could not believe the level of vulgarity and suggestive music that pumped into my ears.
Pimpin'.
Hoes.
Rubbin' bodies.
One-night stands.
What a disappointment that this is the crap youth of America are pumping into their ears day-in, day-out.
No wonder that so many teenage girls have low self-esteem and see themselves as a "thing", a "toy", a pleasure device...... rather than the beautiful spirit that they are.
No wonder that sexual relations are held in such low/weak regard.
No wonder that sexual diseases are rampant. (and out-of-wedlock babies)
No wonder that so many folks get burned/hurt by broken relationships.
No wonder why there continues to be a growing breakdown of "the family".
When folks sing about it, folks do it.
Curiosity: it's human nature.
No doubt, sex is great.
It was designed that way.
But when not treated with the care/caution/attention needed, sex ruins lives and futures.
The artists putting out this music have no clue of the damage they are doing.
