As we prepare to install/host a Little Free Library (LFL) out in our front yard, we continue to research other LFLs to determine the best options for hinges and latch.

I was out and about in Decatur this evening and dropped by 2 LFLs out on the northwest side of town:

The hinges on the 2nd one are awesome..... spring-loaded so that the door always gets closed.

Figuring out what latch to use with those hinges is the next matter.  Dad has a great idea -- if we can locate that particular type of cabinet closure latch.
