While in Pocahontas IL today, we grabbed lunch at The Powhatan.
Nice little place. Decent service. Decent food. Not spectacular, but we'd go back again.
Very interesting that they're located right off I-70 but do not accept credit cards. Maybe taking a stand against the fees that banks/processors assess on each swipe?
Cool thing....... they do have an ATM located right in the restaurant. So, someone who doesn't have cash is free to "swipe some". That way...... the customer takes the hit on the fee.
Sure can't say that's bad business. Maybe not the best customer-focused though.
