Any guesses on who was the highest-paid Illinois state employee in 2018 (and probably 2019 as well)?
The bearded one:
$5,000,000 -- which ranks him #9 in the collection of 50 highest-paid state employees (1 from each state).
Of the top 15, 13 are football coaches.
And Lovie's salary pales in comparison to #1: John Calipari (Kentucky) at $9M+.
A funny fact about the list: #50 is North Dakota's highest-paid state employee....... the Superintendent of Schools at $230K.
