I'm always on the lookout for new words. Ones that I've never heard before. Or heard before and forgotten. Here's a handful of recent ones that I've come across.
Alabama Jumpers
native to Asia, this worm now populates large sections of North America where the jumper is used as bait worms, in vermicomposting, and released into garden beds to improve garden soil; gets name from their ability to wiggle so energetically that they actually jump out of your hand
Immaculate Inning
occurs when a pitcher strikes out all three batters he faces in one inning, using the minimum possible number of pitches—nine
Bio Break
another name for using the restroom
Rage Room
also known as a smash room or anger room; a business where people can vent their rage by destroying objects within a room; rage rooms may consist of fake living rooms and kitchens with replicas of furnishings and objects such as televisions and desks
Light Phone
a simple phone with a few essential tools; designed for going light, enjoying quality time free of distractions
Ecosexuality
a trending sexual identity that means everything from literally having sex with the Earth to getting it on in the most eco-friendly way possible
