The 2020 edition of the Indianapolis 500 has been postponed until August 23rd. (thank you coronavirus)
Other than for rain, this'll be the first postponement of the Indy 500 in history.
The 500 was suspended in 1917, 1918, 1942, 1943, 1944 and 1945 due to the World Wars.
I am not by any means a huge fan of Indy Car racing...... but the Indy 500 is a wonderful spectacle...... an American institution...... and I try to watch it every year.
