Just a couple weeks ago here on MattChat, I discussed McDonald's latest-and-greatest ploy to try and reinvent itself.

As you'll read, I personally find the concept of McBrunch McStupid.

McDonalds is in some real trouble. Those arches are no longer near as golden as they use to be.

People are eating healthier.

They are tiring of McD's.

This week, I came across a great read that helps explain what's going on.

In brief:

- bad food image

- lack of flexibility

- slow, inaccurate service

- price sensitivity

- increased competition

Those are 5 tough challenges folks.

Especially the "food image" and "bad service" ones.

What will they do to survive?

What can they do to survive?
